DYSPORT®

Dysport® also known as abobotulinumtoxinA, is an injectable neurotoxin used to temporarily reduce moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING A DYSPORT® TREATMENT?

Similar to other neurotoxin procedures, Dysport® is a quick 10-to 20 minute treatment. Improvement can be seen in just 2–3 days after treatment. Dysport injections may help improve the appearance of your frown lines and wrinkles for up to 4 months.

WHERE CAN DYSPORT® BE USED IN THE SKIN?

Dysport is most commonly used to treat frown lines between the eyebrows, on the forehead and around the eyes. This neurotoxin can also be used to reduce sweating in areas of overactive sweating such as the underarms.

Our highly trained board-certified dermatologist will design a treatment plan specifically designed for your needs and individual goals.

HOW MUCH DYSPORT® WILL I NEED?

The first step in determining how much Dysport that will be needed for your treatment is to have a consultation by our Board-certified dermatologist. Every patient have specific needs and concerns.  Your Dysport treatment will need to be tailored to your specific needs. The amount of Dysport used depends on a few main factors: the areas of treatment, the size and strength of the facial muscles. It is advised not to compare Dysport treatments with other botulinum toxin treatments in the past. The dose of Dysport is not the same as the dose of any other botulinum toxin product and cannot be compared to the dose of any other product you may have used previously.

Lastly, you should not receive Dysport or any neurotoxin if you have experienced an allergic reaction to any other botulinum toxin product, such as Myobloc (rimabotulinumtoxinB), Botox®(onabotulinumtoxinA) or Xeomin® (incobotulinumtoxinA).

Dysport or any neurotoxin is not recommended if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. The effects of Dysport® on an unborn baby are unknown.
