XEOMIN®

XEOMIN®

Xeomin® also known as, incobotulinumtoxinA, is an FDA approved injectable neurotoxin used to treat frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead wrinkles similar to Botox® and Dysport®.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING A XEOMIN® TREATMENT?

XEOMIN®, similar to other neurotoxins, is a quick 10-to 20 minute treatment. Improvement can be seen as early as 48-72 hours after treatment.

WHERE CAN XEOMIN® BE USED IN THE SKIN?

XEOMIN®  is used to treat moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows, on the forehead and around the eyes. Xeomin® can also be used to treat hyperhidrosis or overactive sweating involving the underarms.

HOW MUCH XEOMIN® WILL I NEED?

Our Board-certified dermatologist will develop a treatment plan based on your concerns.  Xeomin is measured by units. The amount of units required to adequate treat your concerns will be discussed at your consultation. There are several types of botulinum toxin and each may work in your skin differently. Though Xeomin dosages are measured in a similar fashion as Botox®(onabotulinumtoxinA), this medication should not be compared to the dose of any other botulinum toxin product you may have used previously.

WHO SHOULD NOT USE XEOMIN®?

Avoid receiving treatment with Xeomin if you have experienced an allergic reaction to Xeomin or any of the ingredients in Xeomin. You should avoid Xeomin or any neurotoxin if you have experienced an allergic reaction to any other botulinum toxin product, such as Myobloc (rimabotulinumtoxinB), Botox®(onabotulinumtoxinA) or Dysport® (abobotulinumtoxinA).

Xeomin or any neurotoxin is not recommended if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. The effects of XEOMIN® on an unborn baby are unknown.

The use of botulinum toxin is contraindicated or not allowed in patients that have conditions that affect your muscles and nerves such as Lambert-Eaton syndrome, myasthenia gravis or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Please discuss all medical history prior to treatment with a botulinum toxin product.
